The songs on “Out Of The Darkness” are mostly about finding hope against all odds in life and overcoming it with optimism. Gizmo's thoughts and reflections on setbacks and failures may be largely personal, but unexpectedly they hit the nerve of the times.
 At the legendary RAK Studios in London, he worked with bassist Mike Kenna, drummer Jesper Lind, Rob Lewis who arranged and played the strings and one of his heroes, the recently deceased legendary Afrobeat drummer Tony Allen, the musical director by Fela Kutis Afrika 70, as well as being a fundamental part of The Good, The Bad & The Queen. They combine styles from all over the world and then excitingly broaden his horizons.
