In September 2017, the sextet retired for a month to the renowned Bear Creek Studios (Eric Clapton, Foo Fighters) in Washington state. There, in a 19th-century wooden barn that had been converted into a studio, in a picturesque wooded area north of Seattle, the "nature children" felt completely at home. The environment certainly contributed to the success of "Around You I Found You" as did producer Ryan Hadlock's vast experience. The Grammy winner, who has already worked in the recording room for The Lumineers, Vance Joy and Brandi Carlisle, immediately recognized the potential of Wintershome. "I have the responsibility to capture the strengths of a great song," is how he describes his task in the production process. In accordance with this sound philosophy of always working out the essence of a song with the technological studio tools of our day, in the case of Wintershome he concentrated on their catchy melodies and sentence singing and thereby uncovered melodies that need not fear international comparisons.
